Why a Tennessee Farm Family Moved to Samaria, Israel
What would make a family of Gentile farmers from Tennessee pack up their lives and move to the mountains of Samaria? This week Paul sits down on location at the Mount of Blessing, about an hour north of Jerusalem, with Joshua Waller of The Israel Guys to hear the remarkable story behind their calling.
Joshua shares how a simple love for God’s Word led his family to partner with an Orthodox Jewish community in helping restore the biblical heartland. Jeremiah 31 promised that vines would once again be planted on the mountains of Samaria, and today volunteers from more than 35 countries are helping farmers plant vineyards and trees across land that once lay desolate. Joshua also explains what he means when he says there is an awakening in Israel, from secular students filling synagogues to pray to young Israelis wearing tassels straight from the Scriptures.
Back in the studio, Paul and Shae reflect on the interview, why the Waller family’s faithful presence speaks so powerfully to everyday Israelis, and how there are many ways the Lord reaches His people.
