The Night Before October 7: An Urgent Call to Pray for Israel

The Night Before October 7: An Urgent Call to Pray for Israel
Paul Wilbur

Three years after October 7, 2023, how should we remember? In this episode, Pastor Nathan Wilbur unpacks the Hebrew word "zakar." In Scripture, it means more than thinking about the past. It means remembering in a way that leads to action. When the Bible says the Lord remembered Noah, and the Lord remembered Hannah, it means God moved on their behalf.

Nathan also shares a personal story from the night before the attack. During a Friday night Shabbat worship gathering led by his friend Joshua Aaron, he felt a sudden, urgent burden to pray for Israel's safety and protection. The room turned toward Jerusalem and prayed. The next morning, the headlines revealed why.

This is a call to remember with purpose: to honor what happened, to keep praying for Israel, and to trust the God who remembers His people and acts.

Join Paul and the family for Shabbat in Your Home every Friday night at 6 PM EST.
